1. Look for the khat
Real Kota Doria has small, even squares across the fabric. Hold it to light: the weave should look open and regular.

It should feel very light, almost airy, with a slightly crisp hand when new.

Cotton-silk doria carries a soft, not shiny, glow. A hard shine usually means a synthetic blend.
